Kilian Haaser - English and German Therapy in Barcelona

How do I work?

Sometimes it's about discovering new perspectives in familiar surroundings, embarking on a journey to find yourself when problems have taken over - both in the short term and the long term. A therapeutic process can take a long time or a short time. There are no rules.

Once it becomes possible again to immerse yourself in experiences and visions you desire, you can continuously move towards them.

The focus point here is the respective feeling and getting to know and perceive one's own person in specific situations.

This applies to people of all ages. Recognizing certain dynamics can lead to something new emerging and being allowed to emerge, and that you can take a step back from the problem situation in the first place.

I am a therapist specializing in children, adolescents, adults and couples with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy. This means that I accompany individuals, couples and families on a journey towards new perspectives and possibilities for shaping their lives together. When certain negative emotions dominate (such as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders), it's about regaining the ability to choose and being able to move freely in situations and allow new experiences to unfold in order to develop one's personality.

For my collaborative work, I use various tools (such as those from schema therapy and solution-oriented therapy) so that clients can establish a different connection to their feelings.

So far, I have found that every individual and every family already carries the solution to their problem within themselves.

Psychotherapy can be a valuable resource for anyone navigating personal crises, processing loss, feeling stuck, or wanting to understand themselves better. Whether it's the weight of past experiences or current challenges, therapy can help you work through these barriers to find joy and fulfillment in life and relationships.

In therapy, you'll find a safe, confidential space to explore your experiences and work toward healing, growth, and a greater sense of self. Together, we can chart a path toward improved mental well-being and deeper connections with others.

I'm a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist based in Barcelona, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy.
